That losing streak felt 10 games long, didn’t it? I don’t know whether or not to be super happy about tonight’s win or be conservative with my happiness because it was the Hornets and just one game.
It was a great game though by all accounts.
Kobe was good and bad. He didn’t overdo it, only taking 14 shots and ending up with 20 points. He turned over the ball a lot however (as...

Kobe’s Motivation.
Wilbon: Will the result of the Laker-Miami game mean anything to the big picture of the season?
Kobe: *laughs* No. No, not for either one. We’ve gotten rocked on Christmas Day and won a championship. We’ve done the rocking on Christmas Day and won a champ-, it doesn’t matter. It doesn’t matter one way or another, it’s all about how you improve as the season...

Pretty much everyone had a solid game, especially the bench en route to the Lakers 5th straight win. Andrew Bynum had his best game since coming back this week, posting 16 points and 7 rebounds. Shannon Brown had 14 off the bench, Matt Barnes 12 and Luke Walton 9.
Kobe started despite his injured pinky finger from Friday’s game, putting up 20 points and 4 assists. Pau had 19...
Yeaaah, unlike you- I don’t need to change who I am for people to like me.
The difference between you & I, I STAY Real.

It was a close game until the fourth quarter when the Lakers just ran way with it. Lamar Odom was the best Laker on the court tonight by far. He had 28 points and 8 rebounds, Gasol closely trailing him with 19 points and 13 boards. Matt Barnes also had a double-double, chipping in 15 points and 10 rebounds.
Kobe Bryant re-injured his finger early in the game, and ended up with...

At halftime the score was 47 - 46, Lakers. Then in the third quarter Kobe went to work. He had 16 of his 24 points in the third quarter and that pushed the Lakers to pull away and start their season 1-0 with Bynum back. Kobe finished 7-13 shooting, highly efficient while also chipping in with 5 rebounds and 4 assists.
Another good sign was the play of our bigs. Lamar Odom &...

Not really much to complain about, lol. Lakers came in and handled business and looked great doing it. Kobe now has 10 30-point games this season, and for the second straight game he got his points very efficiently, 31 off of 11-18 shooting. That includes 4-8 from 3-point range, as well as 6 assists.
Pau Gasol seems to be back on track with his second straight solid effort as...

The tagline for this game should be Kobe Doin’ Work.
Kobe: 32 points, 25 of those in the second half and six assists.
Let’s try not to think about where the Lakers would be without him because right now it seems like he’s the only one showing up for these games. Oh, and LO. Gasol really got pushed around in the paint. He shot 6-19 for 15 points (though he did have 11 boards),...

Once again the Lakers were caught playing from behind in the fourth quarter. This time their late-game charge wasn’t enough to withstand Derrick Rose and the Bulls. Rose hit several huge shots late in the game and held off the Lakers.
One bright spot for the game was Kobe moving into #11 place on the all-time scoring list, passing Celtic great John Havlicek.
One big glaring...

Derek Fisher saved us once again with a layup at the buzzer and we eked out a win over the Clippers after trailing for pretty much the whole second half.
Kobe had 24 points including several key shots and assists in the fourth. Shannon Brown had 16 points, 11 of those coming in the third quarter. One of those was a shot from 3/4 of the length of the court to end the quarter.

Lakers looked pretty good in the first half, and eventually had a 13-point lead. Then they let the Wizards back in the game in the 3rd quarter and it became pretty close down the stretch.
Lamar Odom was all over the place with 24 points. Pau had 21 and 14 rebounds and Kobe had 32.

Whew! Losing streak = over.
How about that bench? 52 points scored, and what’s perhaps most important — Gasol played only 26:57. Six Laker players were in double-figures, Kobe leading the way with 22 on 9-18 shooting. Shannon Brown was the leading scorer off the bench with 14.

52 Bench points for the Lakers, many of which came in the fourth quarter as L.A.’s starters iced their knees. Shannon Brown led the way with 14, alongside four assists and three steals.
31 L.A.’s biggest lead, attained in the middle of the third quarter on Lamar Odom’s and-1 layup.
